Spanish bolo type knife recovered from shipwreck This knife dates from the late 1500 s to early 1600 s it is identical to 4 other knives recovered from a shipwreck the original wood handle was rotted off and a stag horn handle with a spanish coin from 1591 "also found in a shipwreck" was later installed.the blade is well hallmarked with 2 stars the same as the coin.The conquistadors and seaman on the spanish ships used these blades during this time.Definately a Treasure!!!I have searched the internet for another of its kind and have found none.I have some documentation in the form of hand written notes.Gauranteed authentic!!overall length 17"Blade is 10.5 " $1200 or best offer |
